While the year 6 students were at JPC testing today, the year 5 students in Room 5 learned to play the marimbas!

Winners of the Week and a Reminder!

Don't forget - the blog is for EVERYONE to check. I need to know that all students and their families are checking the blog for notices, reminders and general information. Our first winners for 2022 - Lachie and Lea tied to win the Roll of Honour, Rosa and Aaron tied to win the Figure it Out, and Charlotte was our first nomination for Outstanding Student of the Week. Alana had the highest Boggle score. Lots of good thinking going on in Room 5. Well done everyone.

Preparing for Lent

Tomorrow marks the beginning of Lent. In Room 5, we will be praying for Ukraine and Russia for the 40 days of Lent. We have written and burned out Lenten promises in readiness for Ash Wednesday tomorrow. Today the Yellow reading group make pancakes for the whole class for Shrove Tuesday.

Week 3

This term, as you probably know, we have joined the Student Volunteer Army, and are thinking of how we can make a difference in our community. We have decided to create care/welcome packages for people suffering from illness. We have made a good start with our project. This Wednesday, we are running a cake stall to raise money to buy the items we need to fill our care packs. Please send in a small amount of baking (store bought is fine) to help make our cake stall a success. All items will be sold for $1. We also need several shoe boxed to decorate and fill. If you know of a business that might be interesting donating to our project, please get in touch. On Friday we are celebrating Saint Mary MacKillop of the Cross, beginning the day with a Mass. All welcome to attend. Please have your PE gear at school on Tuesday. Just a reminder that covid seems to be making a comeback in the senior school.
