Next Wednesday 1st June the Parish is hosting the Ko Hata Maria, te Matua Wahine o te Atua icon. The translation is Holy Mary, Mother of God. The Bishops of NZ commissioned this artwork as they wanted a depiction of Mary that connects her to our country.
On Wednesday we will be visiting the church to view the icon, and will be joining the parish Mass at 12.00.
On Thursday we have Cross Country at the Redwoods. Thank you to everyone who has offered to provide transport to the event - I have emailed everyone to confirm. Please collect your children from the Redwoods by 3pm. The event is usually finished by 2.30 so you may take your own child home after their event.
Our winners for Week 4 - Vidhi was nominated as Outstanding Student of the Week, Charlotte solved the Figure it Out, and Rosa was Roll on Honour AND Boggle winner. Well done girls.
Coming up - next week Monday 6 June is Queen's birthday public holiday and Tuesday 7 June is a teacher only day.
