Week 4

The Room 5 students are working very hard this term and I am seeing some great work in all curriculum areas.  But we still have time for some fun too!

This week, we will need a couple of empty water bottles with lids  (see image) for our creative maths on Thursday. Please bring in if you can.

Also on Thursday, everyone will need to bring a mug and spoon/fork.  Last term some of the students
harvested the seeds from the sunflowers we grew last summer. Removing the husk was a long and laborious task.

This week, we are going to use them to make some pesto to have with pasta for lunch.  If you want to, bring in a small amount of cheese to sprinkle on your pasta.  Remember to ask first as cheese is VERY expensive!

Cross country is next week and we are still continuing with our training this week.  I expect everyone to have their PE gear at school every day.  The weather is unpredictable but we have been lucky to have some fine weather most days this term.

Spelling lists will be sent home on Tuesday this week.

Our winners in week 3 were Regina for Roll of Honour, Isobel for Boggle and Rosa was nominated for Outstanding Student.  No one solved the Figure it Out puzzle.
